About the artist

Sarah Carragher (‘care-uh-,her) is a mixed-media artist based in western Massachusetts. At the heart of her practice is a love of paper cutting and collage; she is also skilled in drawing, painting, jewelry-making, and digital design. Her sources of inspiration include nature, humor, relationships, mental health, dreams, travel, popular culture, food, and language.
Sarah’s work has been featured in galleries across the Connecticut River Valley. In 2021, she joined forces with local nonprofit Resilient Community Arts, where she instructs workshops, hosts community events, and helps secure grant funding. In June 2025, she acquired a certificate in graphic design from Holyoke Community College. During the course of her study, she received a Faculty Award for Excellence in Visual Art and a Pulp City Art Editor Award.
